Been off and away...

I've been off and about  the country,  not  really got any painting done over the summer for a variety of reasons. But the big news headlines are.....
1) I had to drop out of the Bank Street Arts members exhibition 'Work in Progress'. Mainly because I forgot O was not at school during the summer.   By all accounts it was a success. 

2) I have some space in  a cafe booked for 4 weeks for some work to go on the walls.

3)  Managed to get work into 'Nude Tin Can art Gallery'  for their exhibition, 'Geometric' and 'Horizion'

4) Had more work accepted for the Menier Gallery in London via Exhibit Here. 

and finally
5) I had a really good stall at Art in the Gardens. Met some lovely creators and customers. I'll definitely try to get back next year.

Back in the digital depths.

After  a brief hiatus from coding Monday last week...um.. coding Monday is back. It sounded much more grand and dramatic in my head.  Coding is alot of 'WTF... What 'Null Point Exception' error?  ... oh just fuck off computer.' and ' No you weren't expecting a 'r parentheses '...oh right a semi colon. ' 'WTF....NOW WHAT??' and eventually a 'YAY I made the ellipse move up and down!! WOO! Someone call NASA I rock!!'

So today I got to work on my course again, I'm on week 3. ( I started 8 months ago. I'm a bit behind on this 6 week course.) Successes were I made an ellipse stop when you click on it. And I rewrote the same programme with less functionality, but using a 'Circle' class for my array. This has taken 5 hours.

Details and Skulls.

So I've been tormenting the internet with  my painting skillz and an image of my naked body. I've worked on the upper half of the body today so no embarrassment needed. PHEW!

I've also being working on just general observational painting skills. I was going to over paint it, but it is slowly growing on me.

The mind killer

An odd one for me this. I don't have a problem posting my work and having it looked at and dismissed or like by people. Taste is subjective, some of my work will be liked and loved by some people,  others will detest or be indifferent to the work. Those same people will have different reactions to different work.  This is just like that, but different. The problem I have is not how the work will be received. More how I will be received. The body judgement. It was touch and go that I would post this. 
But the only reason for me to not post this is fear. Fear of judgement. And fuck fear. It's my body and it is what it is at some point it will be worm food. Just meat. Thinking meat. So here is the work in progress as it is. 

Looking at the work so far ( 2hrs worth).  The main areas that need addressing are the head shoulders and arms. They are all too small in proportion. The feet are pretty spot on but they lack detail. I want to add generative elements to the work, but that s a long way off.
