Cathal Lindsay is an Irish painter, residing in sunny Sheffield. Cathal's paintings show an unhealthy interest in using analogue processes to explore concepts better handled by computers. Using codes, binary as well as glitching and generative art ideas that involve artificial life techniques; Cathal contemplates the little questions like the nature of meaning and creativity in a world where machines are becoming increasingly human like.
One of his favorite things is rolling dice to generate pointless data in hopes of some how gleaning insight into the true nature of reality.
When he is not in his studio he can usually be found, smelling of turpentine and wishful thinking.
